tool 11 yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. What are your favorite tools you now have in your personal technology toolbox? Briefly describe a particular activity that you will plan for your students using at least one of these new tools.

I like being able to be creative with the tools that allowed to do some kind of movie or video because it incorporated dialogue. And while teaching Spanish creating an opportunity for dialogue is very important. For example the GoAnimate web site helps with funny animated videos that the students can create. I will love to plan for my students to use the GoAnimate and or storybird so the can practice the writing and speaking in Spanish.

2. How have you transformed your thinking about the learning that will take place in your classroom? How has your vision for your classroom changed? Are you going to need to make any changes to your classroom to accommodate the 21st Century learner?

I am a fairly new teacher and I enjoy technology. That is why this 21st century learning style is not really new to me. That is how I have been learning for a while now and how I have been teaching. However going through all of these tools has opened my eyes to the fact that we as teacher have a limited amount of time to actually incorporate these tools. I am going to have to make some changes to the way I teach and the pace I go on the curriculum. I know that by doing this I will have the opportunity to explore and use many of these tools.
3. Were there any unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?

In all honesty the biggest unexpected outcome was the time that it took to do all of it.

tool 10

I do know that in past year our student have been taught to be safe in the internet. And just like I do in my classroom about them learning how to be good citizens in the real world I would like to make them more aware to be a good digital citizen. It is important for them to take responsibility to not only what the look up but what they say as well. They should create positive and constructive relationships with other. And assist other people but not sharing to much of their information. iSafe was a great place to get a lot more information about being safe in the digital world. It is also very important to share and inform the parents about the risks and advantages of the Digital Word therefore I would remind them of such in a parent night or by making a link available to them as a resource. .

tool 9

It is important to tie technology to the objective because technology is such a huge part of our lives and if we want to prepare life long learners and if we want to prepare some one that will be ready for the work force we need to expose our students to the real world. And because it has to be for the soul propose of learning. And when it comes to the stations or centers of the devices, we should hold the students accountable because it will show them responsibility. Thinkfinity was my favorite out of all. It had many things that I could use in the class room as story making activities. The great thing about the activities on this site was that they can be printed. And in that way I can hold them accountable. I found an App that it goes along with the curriculum taught. With this app I could encourage the students to learn on their own and to create well thought questions to ask me. I also use the sock puppet app in which the students can create a dialogue and embed it to youtube. In that way I can see there production. I see the students using the devices to communicate instantly with the active board.

tool 8

A lot of the information on the tutorials and the reading was not really new. However it is nice to know that SBISD has a place where we can find apps for educators.

One of the only ways that I could use the devices could be as a center. Or the can be used as Alan Novmeber suggested; to have researchers in the classroom searching for information about the content being taught.

tool 7

a. Students will communicate in Spanish through skype by creating a story and having another student in another classroom finish the story.
b. I believe that I am not so accustomed with these tools yet therefore I will be implementing this tool the up coming school year.
c. Skype
d. One group of students will create and begin a story. Then they will connect with other groups in other classes to continue the stories. Of course using the content learned.
e. It is great to know that other teachers are right here to connect with!

tool # VI

Poll Everywhere
Poll Everywhere

The way that poll everywhere will increase participation in my classroom would be by giving and opportunity to the students to use their cell phones to answer my questions. This will encourage them because they can use something that hey are very comfortable with to answer content related questions.

The wall will help me communicate better with students in/out of the classroom.

tool # 5

These tools are really great to create and everlasting memory on what the lesson was about. It could be used as a set to the lesson or a summary of a lesson.

The tool #4

Google app could be use in the department to share documents. Goggle apps can be use in the classroom as another document maker. I am excited to use the form maker in Google apps.

El tooolo # III

I visited several video hosting sites. My favorite is still YouTube. The reason why, is because I can find pretty much anything. And I can also find many other videos done by students. This video embedded to this blogs is, one of my favorite as part of my curriculum.
this other video  i find useful as a hook to one of my lessons.

I was already aware of fair use but it was pretty good to get reminded of the fact that: "as long as students/teachers are publishing content to a secure location (walled garden, educational network or website that require passwords, etc.) they can pretty much do whatever they want – as far as creating products for instruction or to demonstrate learning."
It is pretty exciting that with Dropbox i will be able to access any saves files from any computer even from mobile devices. I find it useful in the classroom because there would be an ease of access to information for the students.

tool numero DOS(2)

Building and participating in a PLN makes me feel supported and like my voice could be heard. I like the being humble comment. The reason being is because as an English learner my vocabulary and they way a express myself is pretty basic. And knowing that I could be humble and be me, it is comforting while sharing my thoughts publicly.  http://edupln.ning.com/ will be a site that I will visit in the future because it seem that it offered true educators comments.
